Physical activity helps children asleep faster

It is found that the children, who run around all the day, are often fall asleep faster & they have a better night’s rest than others. In a study over more than 500 children it is found that every hour child is inactive adds three minutes to the time it takes to nod off. The effect remains same whether the children were slumped in front of television or reading quietly. [Photo Credit] The children who fell asleep faster also tends to sleep for longer. This also added to the evidence that links lack of sleep with obesity. They found it took the children an average of 26 minutes to fall asleep. The majority of children had dozed off within three-quarters on an hour. Snoring in pregnancy can cause diabetes

Researchers found a strong link between snoring & gestational diabetes . They said that sleep disorder in pregnancy may likely to cause diabetes in women. This type of diabetes starts during pregnancy & goes away after child’s birth. It is believed that the hormones produced during pregnancy reduce a woman's receptivity to insulin, leading to high blood sugar levels. Gestational diabetes affects 1% to 3% of all pregnant women. Women with the nocturnal habit were more than four times as likely to develop a short-term form of the disease which causes health problems for both the mother and child. Snoring was still associated with gestational diabetes, when researchers took account of other possible causes in women like their age, race & body mass . Researchers claimed that watching TV before going to bed can cause a bad night’s sleep . Staying up to see the end of what you are watching on TV steals your time when you could have been asleep . This has knock-on effect for your health. Watching television appeared to be the most important factor for the start of the sleep period, rather than hours past sunset or other biological factors. Watching TV replaces sleep time that results in fewer hours of the sleep. Another reason of poor sleep quality is the sedentary activity that replaces more vigorous pursuits such as sports & also the lack of exercise which results in poor sleep quality. Married women sleep better than single ones!

Researchers claimed that married women actually sleep better than single ones. Husbands are often & frequently criticized as obstacle to a good night’s sleep because of snoring & stealing the covers. Women who are stable in relationship then they will have less trouble at night than one who is unmarried or has broken up with a partner. It seems that husbands are unfairly maligned . The date produced the same results even after taking into account, other known factors which are linked to sleep quality, including age, ethnicity, income & symptoms of depression found in women. Women who had gained the partner over eight years have same sleep quality as the women who were married throughout the period.
