Prevent Hital hernia - Heartburn through Yoga

Hiatal Hernia - Heartburn : It is also known as diaphragmatic hernia is annoying & serious health problem should be treated immediately. It occurs when one part of your body opening into another part. This hernia forms at the opening in the diaphragm where the esophagus (the food pipe) joins the stomach. A part of your stomach pushes through this opening & cause hiatal hernia.

Hiatal hernia allows food & acid to back up into your esophagus ( the food pipe ) , which leads to heartburn & chest pain. Home remedies or self measures can usually relieve these symptoms but some times require medical attention too.



Symptoms of Hiatal hernia : It is accompanied by symptoms like a burning sensation , chest pain , heartburn , nausea , acid reflux immediately after meals and these symptoms are located often in the upper part of the stomach. However the problem is that in most cases , there are no symptoms to indicate this condition. Apart from heart burn, some patients do experience regurgitation. This happens because esophagus becomes the receptacle for the stomach acid re fluxes which back flow.

How Yoga helpful in curing Hernia : Certain yoga poses & breathing exercises can help to cure the hiatal hernia. With the regular practice of these yoga techniques one can get a great amount of relief from this problem.

Yoga poses for hernia : Some of basic yoga postures are helpful for relieving the pain of hital hernia like Vajrasana , Shashasana , Matsyenasana , Sarvanasana ,Ustrasana , Bhadrasana , Uttanpadasana , Naukasana ,Pawanmukrasana ,Setubnadhasana etc.

Breathing exercises : Among pranayama you can practice anulom-Vilom Pranayama , Kumbhaka , Bhastrika Pranayama bharamari Pranayama & Antar kumbhaka etc. You can also practice some bandhs & mudras like Mool Bandh , Vajroli Mudra & Ashwini Mudra etc.

Meditation & Yoga Nidra : Practice the mediation for 15 to 20 minutes after the practice of yoga pose & breathing exercises which will help to relax your mind & body. In mediation all the toxins of body are expelled out & all the organs of the body are working in their proper manner. Yoga nidra can also help to remove the stress & strain of mind as well as the body.

Yoga helps to keep away symptoms and at the same times completely cure some forms of hernia , but if the symptoms continue to persist or if the hernia is severe , surgery may be the ultimate and only option.
